Warbirds and Airshows- Tico Airshow 2008

Several of the Yak-7B shots were taken on 3-14 when it was overcast.) Now this is the way to spend Spring Break in Florida. (Actually it is still winter as spring it not arrive officially until the next week.) Promoted as a Warbird Show the event met that requirement by having 51 warbirds participate as static display aircraft in the morning and then for the most part all of them flew in the afternoon show. Coupled with the USAF F-15 and F-16 TAC Demos and only two civilian aerobatic routines, this is an excellent show for the warbird enthusiast to attend and start out the airshow season. There are several good vantage points to take photos from, one on the west end of the east-west flight line to get the warbirds both leaving and returning to the warbird ramp, and then at the east end where the F-104, F-15, F-16 and the Heritage Flight P-51 use the north-south runway for their operations. Also on display at the show are all of the Valiant Air Command's static museum displays that get tugged out to the show area. The world needs more warbird shows like this!
