2007 Ft. Campbell, KY Airshow Warbirds
May 19, 2007
Non advertised one day show which is part of week long 101st Airborne reunion.  Done every other year.  This year there was a rare appearance by the equally rare, PV-2 Harpoon, the only flying example in the world and it put on any impressive series of fly-bys.   Equally impressive was the Sky Soldier Attack Demo, which is now only being performed four times a season.  Overall a very good Military Base Show for Warbirds, with considerable Fly-by time.

Footnote:  It turns out that this was the last time the Sky Soldiers Vietnam Attack Demo as it has been previously performed.  The CV-7 was sold at Oshkosh 2007 and the Mohawk was also put up for sale.  The high cost of this particular act and the fact that the US Army is funding the new Cobra Demo, which makes it more cost effective for Air Show producers, are the reasons for the change.  We are going to miss the Attack Demo.
