Madison Airshow Warbird Photo Review
Warbirds at the Madison, IN Airshow 2020 - September 26, 2020 (Photos taken 9-26-2020.)

This was the 19th Annual Madison, IN Airshow and my first visit to it.  The pandemic of 2020 caused me to look more closely at all available shows, and Madison was one that was still a viable event.  Also, now I have a small granddaughter who likes airplanes, and this was a good venue for her first airshow.

Below are a few photos of the show, mostly of the warbirds.

The Missouri Wing of the Commemorative Air Force B-25 and TBM started the show as they arrived after participating in the warbird fly-over at Washington, DC.

This arrival pass was the only fly-by of the two aircraft.

No doubt, for most of the crowd, they had never seen a TBM, let alone see it fold its wings.

The event is a showcase of several local aerobatic pilots that perform for the hometown crowd.

"Oh my, is he really in a flat inverted spin?"

The Super Chipmunk was another warbird that was at the show.

The Super Tucano from nearby Louisville made an appearance and did three high speed passes for the spectators.  The crowd was impressed by its high speed.

There were several more acts after the Tucano.  However, with several small children in the group, it was time to go.  They were getting tired, and by the time they arrived home, it was their dinner time.  The group looks forward to visiting the Madison Airshow again.
